Spring 2021 Budget, announced by Rishi Sunak (Chancellor of the Exchequer) on 3rd March 2021, mentioned two very important sigh of relief in relation to stamp duty and mortgage availability.
Stamp duty extension
Houses purchased under £500,000, stamp duty extension has been further extended till 30th of June, which shows a great lending hand to the first time buyers at the one hand and on the other to home mover who wanted to move in one location to another. This will increase sales of houses, moving from small houses to large houses especially for large families. This stamp duty extension will surely help first time buyers, large families and new property owner who wants to go onto property ladder.
This is real time lockdown happiness for the buyers to home mover in accordance to their family needs and requirements. Though it is tough to arrange or to move from one place to another, but this could bring massive changes in many family’s life in these tough time.
After June 2021, properties valued up to £250,000 will be exempt from stamp duty till the end of September 2021. However, from 1st October 2021, stamp duty rates will resume back to normal over £125,000 value of properties.

A promising hand by UK government for individuals, people on low income and first-time buyers to take the advantage of the scheme call Help to buy to get to the property ladder with only 5% deposit announced in 2021 Budget.
